Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - The Journey Begins
  • Fly to Broome, the gateway to the Kimberley and be greeted by your Red Earth leader
  • Attend an informative session on the history of the Kimberley and the areas you will be visiting
  • Set up camp and visit the famous Cable Beach to watch the sunset over the sea
Days 2-5 - Biridu Homeland
  • Depart Broome early and drive to the Biridu Homeland, on Bunuba Country
  • Welcome to the Country ceremony with Elders of the Andrew's family
  • Visit the spectacular Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek, learn about Jandamarra and his story of resistance
  • Visit the old pastoral homestead where community members grew up
  • Visit sacred sites on the local waterways, for a chance to swim and learn about bush foods with the Traditional Owners
  • Contribute to a service project chosen by Traditional Owners
Days 6-7 - Gogo Homeland
  • Visit Fitzroy Crossing and take a tour boat tour through the Geikie Gorge with a First Nations guide
  • Welcome to Country ceremony with Traditional Owners in Goonyandi country
  • Fish with Traditional Owners along the banks of the ancient Fitzroy River
  • Take a tour of the historical Gogo School with a community member
  • Spend time with community members that have spent their lives living and working on their land for the pastoral industry
  • Learn about local bush foods and make damper by the fire with the hosting community
Day 8 - Broome
  • Return to Broome, visiting attractions and learning about its unique history
  • Witness your last sunset on the stunning Kimberley coastline
  • Final reflection and debrief
Day 9 - Return Home
  • Fly home
